cookie snookums --you like that eh?

Thu Jan 22, 2009, 2:16 PM

But this is pretty damn relevant-- NEW PROFILE PAGES LAUNCHED! :excited: [link]

Well so many things have been going on in the last couple of months I am not sure where to start but in the interest of not getting too personal but yet letting you know what has been happening, and to keep from boring you guys, lol ;) I will keep it as interesting as possible without going into depth.

I am damn glad the inauguration stuffs is over. While I didnt vote for Obama, nor did I vote for McCain, I personally felt that too much money was spent on the celebration; especially with the economic problems we are facing in America. And even though I am damn glad Bush is out and think it definitely called for a party, I feel it could have been toned down A LOT! And that is all I will say about that =P

There have been some personal crisis' going on with me in the last couple of months that have really brought me some sadness and stress, to say the least. I have lost two very close friends of over 18 years, my dear dog Copper and my sweet kitty Girlfriend. These two have always been there for me and I ache that they are no longer around. My fiance and I have have been through some very turbulent times as well and we almost did not make it but we are doing our best to work things out. Financially have been struggling so much that we had to move into my fathers second house and while it does bring us closer to him and my horses, its in an area that is isolated, as its on his 28 acre farm in the country, and I miss my friends and being closer to my mom. I have a health problem that continues to bother me and its hard being in a new place and finding a doctor that you like, heh its always hard to find a doc that you like though, no matter where you are ;) And to top it all off there has been the disappointment from a few friends as well. There are other things but I think that kinda sums it up.

So, there ya go, in case you have been wondering whats been going on with me. I think thats enough of that at this point, lets get on with some happy thoughts eh cookiepie snookums? :D

But first, I really need to take a moment and thank two friends of mine who have been there every day, even if just to pop up on skype and say hello, how are you, I cant thank you enough for the support through these horrible times --thank you Shawn and Ollie, I truly appreciate it all  And everyone else who has helped me, I only wish I could give you all a huge hug! You know, one of those ones that makes you gasp and be like "ok ok, thats enough, I cant breathe!"! :giggle:

On an interesting note, my stick bug eggs hatched :aww: Last year I found a female stick bug, brought her in, and set her up in an awesome stick bug mansion =P She was so happy that she started to lay eggs everywhere. Then I found a male stick bug and they lived for quite awhile together (and had some stick bug fun :hump: ) before they passed away. Even though I am not sure that makes a difference as most females of the species reproduce by parthenogenesis.

I kept the eggs for months and months waiting to see if they would hatch and one day they finally did! :aww: Man you talk about tiny :wow: Barely even the size of my pinkie nail and neon green, just insane small! While not many made it there are some that are doing very well, there are 10 left and I named them, Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo, Catch, A, Tiger, By, Teh, Toe :D Just dont ask me who is who! I look forward to setting them free in the spring and moving on to my next fun egg hatching of praying mantis! Here is a pic of one of the little sticklettes - yes, I call them sticklettes ;) Sorry its not the greatest but man it was hard getting these little buggers to stay still and they move fast!!

I like how it looks like its sticking its tongue out at you! LOL!

If you want more info on them just use the good ole search engine and look up northern stick bugs, they are quite common where I live.

From buggies onto questions. I was tagged but the one and only Ian $zilla774 -he got me :shakefist:

:bulletred: Post these rules.
:bulletred: Each tagged person must post 8 things about themselves on their journal.
:bulletred: At the end, you have to choose and tag 8 people and post their icons on the same journal.
:bulletred: No tag-backs.

1) I am very ADHD and cannot have caffeine (I will s';plode, ask Ollie ;) -but I love coffee so I drink decaf and yes, its good as I grind fresh beans and use a french press :aww:

2) My fear is death but I love adrenalin pumping experiences like parachuting, roller coasters, jumping off of cliffs into water, and things like that :P

3) I dont know my biological father but I know his real name and I hope to find him one day just so I can meet him. Have done everything I can that doesnt cost money but no luck yet.

4) I dont have a cell phone or tv service (like cable etc).

5) I have never traveled outside the US (except to Mexico on a cruise) but I always have a current passport in case I ever get the money to do so. I dream about it!

6) Speaking of dreams, I dream almost every night, sometimes in b/w -sometimes in color, and I remember just about every one.

7) I dont much like chocolate but I do like caramel and pastries and am addicted to Smarties (the US version [link] )

8) I sometimes dont follow the rules and in this case I am not going to tag eight other people but please do this if you like!

Well I think I have gone on enough and if you have read this far you deserve the official cookiepie snookums award :cuddle:

Lisa has left the journal :sprint:

PS- Will be back to regular CSS journals and whatnot as soon as I figure out the problem I am having with posting journals cause I still get blank ones and have to edit them to get them to show
