While I love film and developing and printing, it was my first major when I went to college many years ago, I am in no way saying it is better than digital. Its a process all its own and while I love my digital camera, hell- it took this picture, I love all my film cameras and home darkroom even more as it is how I first started and one should never forget their roots so to speak. But again, please no debates over film and digital as I hate when people say film is better and vice versa - that is stupid. This is merely my way of expressing a medium I love
Taken with a Nikon D70 using a paper background and a hand held construction light to get the hard shadow I wanted. (helped by my dearest) I cannot afford any light kits so I make due and while the construction lights get hot, they are a great inexpensive alternative while saving to buy a real light kit one day
The film was bent into the heart shape and glued. The camera in the shot is one of my older 35mms, a Canon AE-1. Otherwise it was rather simple but it came out just like I wanted it to.
